Itinerary

Day 01 : Airport – Negombo

“Ayubowan” (welcome) On arrival at the recently refurbished Modern and State of the art International Airport, you will be blessed to get your first taste of warm Sri Lankan hospitality; Representative from Tropics Joy will welcome you at the Airport & transfer to Negombo.

  • Pick up from the Airport
  • Proceed to Negombo and spend the day leisurely after your journey to Sri Lanka. (12km and approximately 20 minutes’ drive)
  • Enjoy the Negombo beach and fishermen do their magic in the ocean if time permit.
  • Check in to hotel

Overnight stay in Negombo

Day 2: Negombo – Kegalle – Dambulla

  • Breakfast at the hotel checkout from Negombo
  • Proceed to Kegalle first (76 Km and approximately 02-hour drive from Negombo)
  • Visit Millenium Elephant foundation and do the half day program with lunch.

Enjoy with gentle giants in the foundation. Bathing, feeding, walking and back riding. Lunch is already included to the program.

Proceed to Dambulla (93 Km and approximately 02 ½ hour drive from Kegalle)

  • Check into your choice of hotel in Dambulla.
  • Overnight stay in Dambulla

Day 3: Dambulla – Sigiriya – Dambulla

  • Afterwards, do a village tour with Canoe ride in the lake + bullock cart ride + meet with a Sri Lankan family and cook ,eat some delicious local food at their home.
  • Back to hotel
  • Overnight stay in Dambulla

Day 4: Dambulla – Anuradhapura – Dambulla

  • Early Breakfast at the hotel
  • Proceed to Anuradhapura ancient Kingdom and do the city (73 km and approximately 02 1/2 hour drive one way)

  • Back to hotel
  • Relax and overnight stay in Dambulla

Day 5:Dambulla – Matale – Kandy

Day 6: Kandy – Yala.

  • Breakfast at the hotel and optional visit to Bahirawakanda temple and meet the chief monk and get blessings
  • Prepare for a long drive to Yala jungles from Kandy  (251 Km and approximately 06 ½ hour drive from Kandy)
  • Check in to hotel and relax.

Day 7: Yala

  • Early morning wake up and do a morning safari drive in Yala national park
  • Back to hotel have breakfast and relax by the pool
  • Do an afternoon safari in Yala national park ( in case if the second safari is not needed, we will refund the safari amount)
  • Overnight stay in Yala

Day 8: Yala – Galle

  • Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Galle beach (164 Km and approximately 02 ½ hour drive from Yala)
  • Check in to hotel and relax by the beach and pool
  • Optional visit to Galle fortress

Day 9: Galle – Airport
